The Feel of a Shape

A course in abstraction, colour and encouraging the use of intuition.

This three day course aims to encourage you to get in touch with the shapes, marks and colours that feel right. Shapes that long to be released from your hand and then touch the surface of your paper to bring to life an authentic image. The course will cover various ways of drawing using tone and colour and will take you on an experiential explorative journey with no fixed pre conceived outcome. This way of working aims to encourage confidence, break boundaries of the expectations of what an image ‘should look like’ and open the door to play.

You will work both on a small scale and on a larger scale and will be encouraged to work to a size that will ultimately help you to feel on the edge of endless possibilities. This is an abstract course which will be based in the studio at Lund. It will suit students that have some experience but the main requirement is an open mind and a relaxed attitude to your work in order to explore creativity without tension of end product.

Lunches and refreshments included. Days run from 10am to 4pm (ish).
